How the ROW Calculator handles your answers

Last reviewed: November 1, 2026

The calculator code was reviewed; a live network capture was not performed.

Browser draft storage

When you use the ROW Calculator, your answers — including your decision, desired outcome, time and money estimates, tradeoffs, next action, dates, behavior selections, task notes, and optional name — are saved as a draft in your browser's local storage under the key row-calculator-draft-v1.

This draft is stored on your device only, within this browser. It is used to restore your progress if you close or refresh the page. The calculator has no account system and no backend that receives your responses.

Visibility to others on the same browser profile

Because the draft is stored in your browser's local storage, anyone who uses the same browser profile on the same device can see your answers by visiting rowcalculator.com.

If this is a concern, use a private or incognito window, or clear your answers when you are done.

How to clear your saved draft

Select "Start over" at the top of any question or the commitment card and confirm the dialog. This removes the saved draft from your browser's local storage and returns the calculator to its empty starting state.

You can also clear local storage manually through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings, or by clearing site data for rowcalculator.com.

GoDaddy hosting and usage analytics

This site is hosted by GoDaddy. As part of standard hosting infrastructure, GoDaddy's usage analytics script (scc-c2.min.js) loads on every page visit. This is separate from the calculator's own behavior.

What the analytics script collects depends on your cookie consent choice:

  • If you accept cookies: Usage and click analytics are active. Based on a code review of the click-tracking handler, events record which button or link was clicked — its visible label text (up to 100 characters), the page section, the page title, and whether the link was external. The handler targets button and link elements only; it does not read the value of input or textarea fields. These findings are based on code review; a live network capture was not performed.
  • If you decline cookies: The analytics handler checks a consent flag before collecting anything. Based on the code review, no click events are sent when you decline. The script file itself still loads (a request to GoDaddy's servers), but the collection handler does not run.

You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing site data for rowcalculator.com in your browser settings, which will cause the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.
